On June 9, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh signed a decision to establish a Working Group to direct and guide the work of arranging commune-level administrative units in Hanoi.
The decision clearly states the establishment of 11 Working Groups, aiming to organize inter-sectoral coordination with the function of assisting the Chairman of the City People's Committee in researching, organizing implementation, coordinating the resolution of important, regular, and inter-sectoral issues in the process of rearranging and reorganizing commune-level administrative units (except for personnel work) to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Central and the city.
The working group, on behalf of the Chairman of the City People's Committee, directs, inspects, supervises, urges, guides, and removes difficulties and obstacles of 30 districts, towns, and cities; 126 new commune-level administrative units in the process of rearranging and reorganizing commune-level administrative units.
The working group researched and proposed to the City People's Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee directions and solutions, and proactively resolved important, regular, and inter-sectoral issues in the implementation of the arrangement and reorganization of commune-level administrative units to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Central and the city.
The Head of the Working Group is responsible to the Chairman of the City People's Committee for directing, inspecting, guiding, and urging the implementation of the arrangement and reorganization of commune-level administrative units at the assigned units.
Members of the Working Group perform tasks assigned by the Head of the Working Group. The team leader and member of the Working Group are allowed to use the seal of their unit during the performance of the tasks of the Working Group. Agencies with members participating in the Working Group use their existing apparatus to perform the task of assisting the Working Group, operating under the concurrent regime.
The working group self-dissolves after August 31, 2025.
