On December 24, the People's Court of Dak Lak province opened the first-instance trial of defendant Nguyen Thi Huyen (born 1984), residing in Buon Ma Thuot city, for embezzlement and appropriation of VND 86,203,000.
During the investigation, as well as at the trial, Nguyen Thi Huyen confessed honestly and repented. The defendant has remedied all the consequences and handed over the amount of 86,203,000 VND to the investigation agency.
The Trial Council, Dak Lak Provincial People's Court sentenced Nguyen Thi Huyen to 3 years and 6 months in prison.
Regarding Ms. Huyen's case, the Investigation Police Agency, Dak Lak Provincial Police requested to handle some more related individuals.
Mr. Le Dinh Hoan - former Principal of Dak Lak Provincial Political School (period August 2016 to April 2020), does not have enough elements to prosecute criminally.

Similarly, Mr. Y Mluck Kbuor - Vice Principal (in charge of asset management) did not promptly advise and prevent corruption, allowing losses to occur. The authorities recommended handling the responsibility of the Party and the government.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Anh (accountant) was irresponsible in accounting work, did not follow regulations, did not control revenue and expenditure, allowing the treasurer to take advantage of and embezzle money.

In 2023, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Finance concluded an inspection, pointing out 18 violations in financial work in the period 2017 - 2021 at the Political School.
During the above 5-year period, Dak Lak Provincial Political School showed signs of loss and damage of assets (cash and treasury deposits) of more than 1 billion VND.
In 2017 and 2022, the school made inaccurate budget estimates, resulting in the State budget over-allocating the school's salary fund by more than 300 million VND.
From 2017 to 2022, the school must continue to collect more than 4 billion VND. Of which, tuition and service revenue is more than 3 billion VND, and fee management revenue is more than 907 million VND.
According to Dak Lak Department of Finance, the above violations are the responsibility of the school's Board of Directors, related professional departments and the head of the unit.
Therefore, the Department of Finance recommended that Dak Lak Provincial Political School remedy and recover more than 5 billion VND. Of which, it must thoroughly recover the amount of more than 1 billion VND that shows signs of budget loss. In addition, there is also the collection of tuition fees and management of more than 4 billion VND.
