Ms. Vo Thi Thu Nga - Chairwoman of Bao Loc Ward 3 People's Committee, said that the locality has sent an initial report to relevant agencies, and at the same time directed to clarify violations to resolutely handle them strictly according to regulations.

Through inspection, functional agencies determined that the scene was affected at 2 locations, both belonging to forestry land in Sub-zone 476, Bao Loc Pass area.
In which, the first position belonging to the protection forest planning of Bao Loc pass area was leveled and filled with an area of about 2,530m2; of which about 600m2 has been planted with coffee located within the planning boundary of forestry land.

In the second location, also within the planning boundary of forestry land, the current situation of being dug up to create a water pond with an area of about 363m2 is recorded.
The total area of forestry land affected in both locations is more than 2,890m2, belonging to the forest area managed and protected by the Area 3 - Bao Lam Defense Command (Lam Dong Provincial Military Command).

According to Ms. Vo Thi Thu Nga, after inspecting, measuring, and statistically analyzing the land area affected by leveling, excavation, road opening and stream encroachment activities, the inspection team made a record of the current situation.

The inspection and recording are carried out in accordance with the provisions of Decision No. 895/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on management and handling of violations related to forestry land.
Currently, functional agencies have cordoned off the area to serve the investigation, verification and handling according to regulations.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on April 1, Bao Loc Ward 3 People's Committee directed an inspection of the case of leveling, excavating, opening roads and encroaching on streams in Residential Group 5, Dai Lao.
According to records, the opening of roads in this area alone has had a major impact on the multi-year-old pine forest. Dozens of pine trees and some natural forest trees have been affected.
Along the newly opened road hundreds of meters long, many pine trees are located close to the edge of the negative taluy, some trees are affected by the root system, posing a risk of falling.
Especially, during the rainy season, these pine trees are at risk of landslides, collapses, causing unsafety.
