On April 2, records at the scene showed that after inspection, functional agencies of Ward 3 Bao Loc (Lam Dong) cordoned off the area where the leveling and encroachment on natural streams occurred on Bao Loc Pass.

The blockade is to serve the verification and clarification of acts of leveling and opening roads on forestry land, forest land and encroachment on natural streams.

Functional agencies are conducting measurements and statistics of the encroached land area; and at the same time verifying and clarifying the violators to complete the handling dossier.
Representatives of the leaders of Bao Loc Ward 3 People's Committee said that through inspection, violations related to road opening and leveling that changed the current status of forestry land and forest land are clear.

The Ward People's Committee has assigned functional agencies to statistically clarify the extent of the violation; and at the same time verify the subjects to complete the dossier for handling according to regulations," this person said.
Reporters' records show that the road opening in the above area is having a major impact on the decades-old pine forest next door.

Excavation and road opening activities have directly affected dozens of pine trees and some natural forest trees.
Along the newly opened road hundreds of meters long, many pine trees are located close to the edge of the negative taluy, including trees that are affected by the root system, posing a risk of falling.

Not only that, in the rainy season, dozens of pine trees lying precariously on the aforementioned negative slope are at risk of landslides and collapses, causing unsafety.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on April 1, Bao Loc Ward 3 People's Committee directed an inspection of the case of leveling, excavating, opening roads and encroaching on streams in Residential Group 5 Dai Lao area.
Through initial inspection, the leveled area is forestry land, of which about 1,000m2 belongs to Bao Loc Pass protection forest.
