How is the social pension benefit level in 2026 for people over 75 years old regulated is a question from Ms. Nguyen Anh (Hung Yen).

Deputy Director of YouMe Law Company Limited Vu Thuy Trang said: Based on Article 3 of Decree 176/2025/ND-CP stipulating the social pension level as follows:

1. Subjects specified in Article 2 of this Decree are entitled to monthly social pension benefits of 500,000 VND/month.

In case the subjects specified in Article 2 of this Decree are also subject to monthly social allowances, they are entitled to a higher allowance regime.

2. Depending on socio-economic conditions, budget balancing capacity, mobilizing social resources, the Provincial People's Committee submits to the People's Council of the same level to decide on additional support for social pension beneficiaries.

Thus, in 2026, people over 75 years old, if they fully meet the conditions to receive social pension benefits, will receive 500,000 VND per month.

If they are also eligible for monthly social allowances, they are entitled to a higher allowance regime.

Depending on socio-economic conditions, budget balancing capacity, mobilizing social resources, the Provincial People's Committee submits to the People's Council of the same level to decide on additional support for social pension beneficiaries.
