On April 12, the People's Committee of Kon Tum province requested districts and investors to urgently complete documents, clear land and construct key lake and dam projects in the area.
Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee assigned the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Agricultural Works and Rural Development to coordinate in speeding up compensation, site clearance and construction of works including: Dak Bla River Bank Landslide Treatment Project and Component Project No. 1 - Ia Tun Reservoir (belonging to the Dak Ro Gia - Ia Tun project cluster).
The Project Management Board needs to promptly complete the feasibility study report and procedures related to Component Project No. 2 - Dak Ro Gia Reservoir, according to the direction of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The above projects are key agricultural projects of the province, with a total investment of thousands of billions of VND, playing an important role in providing irrigation water, serving people's lives and responding to natural disasters and floods.
The Project Management Board is responsible to the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for the effectiveness of using the advance capital, and must focus on completing the workload to recover capital according to regulations.
The biggest difficulty at present is compensation and site clearance. The Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committees of Kon Tum City and Ngoc Hoi District to coordinate in handling; if problems arise, they should promptly report to the province for resolution.
In 2025, Kon Tum aims to disburse over 95% of public investment capital, while speeding up the progress of large-scale transportation, irrigation and agricultural infrastructure projects.
The province also directs the implementation of the motto "Liberation, compensation to where, construction go there".
For national-scale projects such as the Kon Tum - Quang Ngai expressway, the province is committed to completing site clearance before December 2026 to ensure construction progress.
