Prestigious people build trust for the people
The whole Krong Nang commune (Dak Lak province) has 40 villages and hamlets with 1,058 poor households (842 households are ethnic minorities) and 574 near-poor households (368 households are ethnic minorities).
In reality, many ethnic minority villages and hamlets are still facing difficulties and hardships and need support from authorities at all levels and prestigious people, raising awareness and developing household economy.
In recent years, prestigious people in the area have built trust for the people, especially the younger generation.
Ms. H' Djeh Nie (Krong Nang commune) shared that this year I am over 50 years old, having lived for many years on this land, I clearly see the responsibility and dedication of prestigious people. They are the threads connecting generations.
"Many young people and our children have changed their perception, not getting married early, completely abandoning many backward customs, studying hard and working hard, thereby having a better life" - Ms. H' Djeh Nie said.
According to Ms. H' Djeh Nie, without the dedication of a prestigious class of people, ethnic minority villages and hamlets could hardly develop as they are today.
Because she has witnessed many prestigious people come to her house to instruct on growing durian, coffee, and raising cows, helping the economy, life and culture of the people to improve significantly compared to 5 years ago.
According to the leader of the People's Committee of Krong Nang commune, thanks to the experience of prestigious people, the commune has brought the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws to ethnic minorities.
They not only build trust but also a place to store thoughts and feelings when people are in trouble.
Prioritizing the training of successors
In recent years, prestigious people among ethnic minorities in Krong Nang commune have promoted their role as the core force, an important bridge between the Party Committee, government and people.
They mobilize people to comply with the State's policies and laws, actively build great national unity and become a solid support of the community.
Mr. Le Hong Van, Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Nang commune, said that in the coming time, the commune will continue to inherit the achievements, effectively implement national target programs, develop the socio-economy of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period of 2025-2030.
The locality will prioritize the training of successors, the young generation, while honoring and promoting the role of outstanding prestigious people, promptly commending their important contributions to the community.
"The commune will also replicate and spread good practices, good examples and encourage and motivate prestigious people to continue to contribute to the development of each ethnic community," Mr. Le Hong Van, Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Nang commune emphasized.
