After many days of being deeply submerged in floodwaters, some areas in Dai Loc commune (Da Nang city) have drained water, leaving a thick layer of mud and many items of furniture that were severely damaged.

At Dai An 2 Kindergarten (Dai Loc commune, Da Nang city), the recent major flood damaged many teaching equipment and facilities of the school. After the water receded, the military, militia and teachers urgently cleaned up, cleaned desks, chairs, classrooms, and pushed mud and water out of the school grounds.

Ms. Ho Thi Thuong, a teacher at Dai An 2 Kindergarten, said that before the flood, the school had raised its furniture to avoid flooding. However, the water rose too quickly, causing many items to fall, soaked in water for many days and were severely damaged.

" all tables and chairs, wallpaper and teaching equipment were damaged. "The electricity was flooded with young mud, so there was a lot of water so we had to cut off the power, remove the mud spray and dry it before reinstalling it. With this situation, it will probably be until the school is open to normal operations, said Ms. Thuong.

"This is the second day the teachers have focused on cleaning. Although everyone is tired, thanks to the support of the militia, soldiers and parents, the progress has been significantly accelerated. We hope to finish the cleaning soon so that the children can go back to school. Prer children's long breaks will affect their parents' work," said Ms. Tuong Vy, a teacher at Dai An 2 Kindergarten.

In recent days, 120 mobile militia forces of the commune along with 130 officers and soldiers of the Military School of Military Region 5 have been mobilized to support flooded schools in the area.
Dai An Kindergarten alone has 10 people directly helping with the cleaning, the rest are allocated to other schools. We will do our best to help the school and people overcome the consequences of floods, said Mr. Phan Thanh Hung, Permanent Deputy Head of the Militia of Dai Loc commune, Da Nang city.
Previously, prolonged heavy rain caused many areas in Dai Loc commune to be deeply flooded for many days, cutting off traffic.
Preliminary statistics show that floods in Da Nang have killed 11 people, 4 people are missing and submerged nearly 76,500 houses.
