The report at the meeting showed that in the first 6 months of 2025, the province's socio-economic development continued to develop stably. Gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated to increase by 8.1% over the same period; budget revenue reached over VND 9,284 billion, reaching 53.3% of the annual estimate, up 43.1% over the same period.
However, there are still some shortcomings and limitations such as agricultural production is still dispersed, lacking key products, not meeting the requirements of goods production and export; infrastructure of some industrial clusters is not complete, lacking synchronization; not ready to meet the requirements of attracting investors. Tourism products are still monotonous and of low quality...
At the session, the Provincial People's Council focused on discussing, giving opinions and deciding on key contents such as: The implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first 6 months of the year; submissions and draft Resolutions on adjusting and supplementing the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025; adjusting and supplementing the public investment plan for 2025; approving the settlement of local budgets in 2024; adjusting the state budget estimate for 2025; support policies for students of Nhon Chau commune studying at vocational training institutions in Binh Dinh province...
In particular, the Provincial People's Council will review and general assessment the performance of the Provincial People's Council from the beginning of the 2021-2026 term to now, concluding the 13-term operation of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Council; reward individuals with outstanding achievements in the activities of the Provincial People's Council in this term.
Speaking at the opening session, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Binh Dinh province - emphasized that this is a transitional session before officially merging the province and implementing the two-level local government.
He suggested that the delegates of the Provincial People's Council uphold their sense of responsibility, carefully discuss each content submitted to the session, contribute many practical opinions, contribute to the success of the session and create a foundation for the next development stage.
