On July 18, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi signed a document requesting the Provincial Steering Committee 515 and departments, branches, and localities to focus on synchronously deploying the tasks of the 500-day and night Campaign on searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains.

According to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, the work of searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains is a particularly important political task, reflecting the morality of "Drinking water, remembering the source", "Gratitude" of the nation.

Although the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee have issued many plans and directing documents, the implementation progress in some localities is still slow, and the coordination and mobilization of resources have not met the requirements.

Therefore, the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested all levels and sectors to identify this as the task of the entire political system, focusing on directing with the highest determination to complete the goals of the campaign.

Localities are assigned to promote propaganda and mobilize people, businesses and social organizations to provide information to serve the search and repatriation of martyrs' remains.

At the same time, strengthen the comparison of historical documents, exploit information from witnesses to zone off and expand searches, especially in areas with a lot of information about martyrs' graves and collective martyrs' graves.

At the same time, localities urgently take samples of remains of unidentified martyrs at martyrs' cemeteries, and at the same time accelerate the collection of DNA samples from relatives of martyrs to integrate into the Gene Bank, serving the appraisal work.

The Provincial Military Command is assigned to preside over advising, organizing the search, gathering and taking samples of remains of unidentified martyrs at cemeteries, striving to complete it before November 15, 2020.

The Provincial Police have the task of completing the collection of DNA biological samples of relatives of martyrs in 2026, contributing to improving the effectiveness of identifying the identities of martyrs' remains that lack information.

According to the Steering Committee 515 of Lam Dong province, the 500 Days and Nights Campaign is implementing the collection of biological samples from martyrs' remains and relatives to serve DNA testing.

The peak period was carried out at 11 martyrs' cemeteries, including Da Lat and Bao Loc Martyrs' Cemeteries, with about 4,845 martyrs' graves whose identities have not been identified.
