DT 722 road project is nearly 19km long, built according to level IV mountain road standards. The project has a total investment of 600 billion VND, implemented in the period 2021–2026. To date, the construction volume has reached about 90% of the contract value.
During the implementation process, due to complex geology, some locations of the positive taluy slope were eroded, posing a potential risk of unsafety and affecting progress. The investor has reported to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province proposing a policy to solidify this item throughout the route.
In the coming time, the contractor will accelerate the construction of retaining walls, drainage systems and complete the grade 1 crushed stone base, striving to complete and put the project into use before June 30, 2026.
On the afternoon of March 24, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Vo Ngoc Hiep inspected the actual progress of the project. He emphasized that DT 722 route plays an important role in connecting Da Lat with Dam Rong and Dak Lak province, meeting the increasing transportation demand.
However, compared to the inspection in January 2026, the construction progress has changed slowly, many sections have not arranged enough manpower and equipment. The workload is still large, while the rainy season may come early, causing more difficulties.
Mr. Vo Ngoc Hiep requested the investor to closely monitor the project, report daily progress, and commit to completing each item according to specific timelines. At the same time, the construction unit must mobilize maximum manpower and machinery to ensure project completion on schedule.
