On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Thai has just signed Resolution No. 12-NQ/TU on the investment policy for the Gia Binh International Airport direct connection road construction project.
Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee agreed with the policy of investing in the project to build a direct connection road to Gia Binh International Airport using public-private partnership (PPP) method, Construction - Transfer (BT) type contract, paid by land fund.
The project to invest in building a direct connection route to Gia Binh International Airport is an important and urgent political task, which needs to be implemented immediately to ensure technical infrastructure connection according to the plan, effectively meet the management, exploitation, and operation of the project and complete the progress according to the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Government's Resolution and the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee.
The Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee assigned the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to lead the Provincial People's Committee to organize implementation according to their authority; ensure strict efficiency, prevent wastefulness, negativity and in accordance with the law; periodically report implementation results according to regulations.
The project is implemented in Gia Binh and Luong Tai communes with a total length of 6.48 km, divided into two sections. The first section is 2.14 km long, starting from the connection point with the Gia Binh airport - Hanoi Capital inter-connected road and ending in the area adjacent to the airport project area.
The second section is about 4.34 km long, connecting from the airport area to the main traffic axis in Luong Tai commune.
The road is designed on a large scale, the roadbed is 80 m wide, including 10 lanes for motorized vehicles in the middle and support lanes on both sides, design speed of 60 km/h. The total land use area is about 54.55 ha. The total estimated investment is more than 4,000 billion VND. According to the plan, the project will be started in the first quarter of 2026 and completed in the fourth quarter of 2027.
