On October 3, the Vietnam Television Center for the Southwest Region (VTV Can Tho) held a conference on "Enhancing information of the Mekong Delta on Vietnam Television".
The conference promotes the spirit of cooperation and close coordination between permanent press agencies; agencies, units, and media organizations operating in the West; businesses and organizations interested in promoting and developing brands associated with the land and people of the South. From there, aim to add more liveliness and diversity in the way of conveying information, but still ensure orientation and authenticity.

Along with the overall socio-economic development momentum of the country, the Mekong Delta is affirming its position as one of the important strategic regions, contributing greatly to food security, agricultural exports and marine economic development. In particular, from July 1, 2025, the arrangement and merger of administrative units in the area has created higher unity, contributing to improving management efficiency and promoting the potential of the area.
In this process, information and communication work plays a key role, helping to spread the image of the land and people of the Mekong Delta to audiences nationwide and international friends.
At the conference, Journalist Vo Ngoc Van Quan - Director of VTV Can Tho - emphasized: "The Mekong Delta is not only a rice granary, fruit and seafood granary of the whole country but also a land rich in cultural identity, gentle and creative people. Enhancing the content of the region on national waves is an important political task, and at the same time, a commitment of VTV to accompany the sustainable development of the region".

Delegates attending the conference also expressed their goodwill to cooperate and accompany each other in the coming time. In particular, many delegates proposed and placed expectations on new programs, bearing more the mark of the Mekong Delta, the strong transformation of localities after the merger process... Thereby, showing a comprehensive picture, increasingly improving and important contributions of this region to the whole country.
