Lang Son has 233 particularly difficult villages

Khánh Linh |

Lang Son - Among 923 villages in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, 233 villages are identified as particularly difficult in the 2026-2030 period.

According to the decision issued by Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the list is distributed in 65 communes and wards. Among them, 918 villages belong to ethnic minority areas and 908 villages belong to mountainous areas. Many areas simultaneously meet both criteria.

Among the 233 particularly difficult villages, 207 villages belong to area III communes, accounting for nearly 89%; 18 villages belong to area II communes and 8 villages belong to area I communes.

Yen Phuc commune has the most particularly difficult villages in the province with 13 out of a total of 20 villages. Chien Thang and Thong Nhat communes have 12 villages each; Xuan Duong has 11 villages, Hoa Tham 10 villages.

Some localities have entire villages that are particularly difficult, such as Chien Thang with 12 villages, Hoa Tham 10 villages and Quy Hoa 6 villages.

The whole province has 48 communes with at least one particularly difficult village, and 17 communes and wards without areas belonging to this category.

The four central wards including Dong Kinh, Ky Lua, Luong Van Tri and Tam Thanh have a total of 88 blocks belonging to ethnic minority and mountainous areas, but there are no particularly difficult blocks.

The approved list is the basis for determining the area for implementing ethnic minority policies and related policies in the period 2026-2030.

The new decision replaces the village list in two decisions issued by Lang Son Provincial People's Committee in January and March. The division of communes in area I, II, III in previous documents has not changed and continues to be effective.

When administrative boundaries or village and commune organizations are divided and merged, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs will advise the Provincial People's Committee to adjust the list according to regulations.
