On June 18, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee said that the unit has just issued Plan No. 289 on strengthening the handling and effective prevention of harassment and causing trouble for people and businesses in resolving work in the province in 2026.
According to the plan, departments, agencies, branches and localities continue to promote propaganda, thoroughly grasp, and strictly implement the Party and State's guidelines and regulations on preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; raise awareness and responsibility of cadres, civil servants, and public employees in performing official duties, building a culture of integrity and the spirit of serving the people.
The Provincial People's Committee requests the heads of agencies, units, and localities to promote the role of setting an example, strengthen inspection and supervision of task implementation; promptly detect and strictly handle acts of harassment and causing trouble to people and businesses.
The results of the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity will be linked to the assessment of the level of annual task completion of collectives and individuals.
Along with that, the province continues to promote administrative reform, review and simplify administrative procedures; strengthen publicity and transparency in the operation of state agencies; promote digital transformation, applying information technology in management, administration and settlement of administrative procedures.
Agencies and units must publicize hotlines and email boxes to receive feedback and recommendations from people and businesses; strictly implement citizen reception and settlement of complaints and denunciations according to regulations.
According to the plan, the province will also strengthen inspection and examination of public duties, supervise the performance of tasks of cadres, civil servants, and public employees; and at the same time promote the supervisory role of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, press agencies and people in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
