Lao Cai removes 146 hectares of land from mineral activity prohibition area

Lao Cai - No longer entangled in national defense planning, protection forests, many land areas have been removed from prohibited and temporarily prohibited mineral activities by the province.

On April 20, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Sinh has just approved the adjustment of some prohibited areas and temporarily prohibited areas for mineral activities in the area, clarifying the legal basis and actual status of land use planning.

Accordingly, the province removed from the list of prohibited areas and temporarily prohibited mineral activity areas an area of 146.17 ha in Gia Phu and Bao Thang communes.

This area was previously identified as a prohibited area according to Decision No. 1407/QD-UBND dated May 19, 2015.

However, through review, the areas are no longer in the national defense land plan, do not belong to the protection forest plan, and do not have elements of national defense, security or protection forest land.

The boundary and coordinates of the adjusted area are specifically defined according to the angle closing points, shown in the appendix and map attached to the decision.
