The Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee include: Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Nguyen The Phuoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
The Steering Committee has 16 members who are leaders of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and representatives of a number of relevant departments, agencies, and sectors. The Steering Committee's working group includes 11 members who are leaders of departments, agencies, the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board and investment and construction project management boards.
According to the decision, the Steering Committee has the task of researching and proposing to the Standing Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in order to accelerate the progress of key projects and projects and handle backlog projects in the area.
At the same time, the Steering Committee will direct departments, branches, localities and investors to organize the implementation of the project implementation plan; inspect and urge the construction progress and quality of works; review and summarize difficulties and obstacles according to each group of issues to identify causes and propose handling plans.
The Steering Committee is also entitled to invite organizations and consulting experts to participate in research and propose solutions; organize field inspections for key projects, slow-progress projects or projects facing difficulties to promptly remove obstacles.
The establishment of the Steering Committee is expected to create changes in handling prolonged "bottlenecks" at many projects in Lao Cai province, especially issues related to site clearance, landfills, technical infrastructure and investment procedures.
