Amidst the hills being leveled in Au Lau ward, Lao Cai province, hundreds of households have agreed to hand over land to make way for Tran Yen Industrial Park - a key project with a total investment of more than 2,184 billion VND.
Along with the race for site clearance progress, the locality is also focusing on removing difficulties in resettlement, electricity and water infrastructure so that people can soon stabilize their lives.
Tran Yen Industrial Park phase I was approved for investment policy on November 20, 2024, with a total scale of nearly 255ha, of which phase I is implemented on an area of 54.59ha.

According to the plan, when put into operation, the industrial park will create jobs for tens of thousands of workers, contribute about 1,500 billion VND to the budget each year, becoming a driving force for new industrial development in the southern region of Lao Cai province.
To implement the project, the locality must recover land for 425 households, individuals and organizations, divided into two phases of site clearance.

In the early days of May, in the project area, many machines and equipment were mobilized to level the ground. Interspersed between the large construction site are houses being dismantled, and new resettlement areas gradually forming.
According to the People's Committee of Au Lau ward, up to now, 164/165 households in phase I have been inventoried, compensation plans have been developed and basically agreed with the land recovery policy.

Mr. Tran Van Chau - a full-time official of the Tran Yen Industrial Park Site Clearance Team - said that the implementation process has encountered many difficulties due to the large workload, directly related to the rights of the people.
However, all obstacles are reviewed and removed in the spirit of ensuring legitimate rights for affected households.
The locality is focusing on completing the electricity and water system in the resettlement area before May 15 so that people can soon stabilize their lives" - Mr. Chau said.
In the Truc Thanh residential group resettlement area, many new houses have begun to be built. However, many households still have to rent temporary houses because the infrastructure is not synchronously completed.

Mr. Tran Minh Ngo, Bao Lam area, Au Lau ward shared that his family was recovered more than 1ha of land, including 373m2 of residential land, and has been compensated more than 3 billion VND.
We agree with the State's policy, hoping that the project will be implemented soon for local development. However, electricity, water and roads in the resettlement area are not yet completed, so life is still inconvenient, and families have to live temporarily" - Mr. Ngo said.
Faced with this reality, the government proposed that the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Tran Yen area soon complete the electricity and water infrastructure in the resettlement area to organize land allocation to households.

Mr. Tran Viet Quy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Au Lau ward - said that the locality is mobilizing the participation of the entire political system to propagate and mobilize households that are still facing problems, striving to accelerate the handover of land according to the project requirements.
Tran Yen Industrial Park is an important project for the socio-economic development of the locality. Therefore, in addition to ensuring progress, we also pay special attention to stabilizing the lives of affected people" - Mr. Quy emphasized.
