Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee on April 27th informed that the province has just issued Plan No. 182/KH-UBND to implement a roadmap for non-stop electronic toll collection at bus stations and parking lots in urban areas in the area.
The plan is built on the basis of the Government's direction in Resolution 71/NQ-CP and the roadmap of the Ministry of Construction according to Decision No. 2381/QD-BXD dated December 23, 2025, ensuring compliance with the actual conditions of the locality.
The implementation of non-stop toll collection is expected to contribute to promoting non-cash payments, gradually modernizing static traffic infrastructure, and improving the efficiency of management of bus stations and parking lots.
Through this, traffic capacity is optimized, revenue is managed publicly and transparently, reducing congestion and gradually building a civilized urban lifestyle.
Regarding the implementation roadmap, for bus stations in urban areas, the province requires to complete the installation of equipment and operate the non-stop electronic toll collection system at all type 1 bus stations before December 31, 2026; type 2 bus stations to be completed before December 31, 2027.

For bus stations of type 3 and below, the locality encourages deployment and strives to complete before December 31, 2030.
For parking lots and vehicle parking points, the province will conduct reviews, statistics, and make a list of both licensed and unlicensed points in urban areas, completing before December 31, 2026.
On that basis, prepare conditions to deploy the installation and operation of a suitable non-stop electronic toll collection system, ensuring investment efficiency and synchronization throughout the area, with the goal of completion before December 31, 2030.
