According to statistics from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province, by the end of October 11, the locality had received registration and support from more than 6,900 groups, individuals, and businesses with a total amount of VND 321.39 billion (of which the Central Relief Fund: VND 180 billion; agencies, units, organizations, and philanthropists: VND 141.39 billion).
The Fatherland Front Committees of districts, towns and cities received 40 billion VND in cash and through district-level accounts; communes, wards and towns directly received 15.9 billion VND.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and its member organizations received and coordinated about 555 support groups including many essential goods, estimated to be worth about 69 billion VND.
Most recently (October 10 and 11), the Lao Cai Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee received support from officials and people of Giao Thuy District (Nam Dinh), Academy Bank with the amount of 600 million VND.
Receiving support from the delegations, Mr. Ly Van Hai - Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - thanked the timely attention and support of localities and units for Lao Cai.
At the same time, it affirmed that the Lao Cai Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee will have a plan and allocate support funds in a timely manner and to the right beneficiaries.
It is known that the Lao Cai Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee will receive support to overcome the consequences of natural disasters until October 30, 2024.
