4.5 billion VND to support Lao Cai union members to overcome storm and flood

Due to the impact of storm No. 3, Lao Cai province has more than 3,000 union members and workers affected.

Of these, 4 union members and workers died; 7 union members and workers were injured; 37 union members had relatives injured or swept away by the flood.

In addition, 2,956 union members had their houses swept away by floodwaters and completely collapsed; their houses were flooded, landslides occurred and property damage occurred.

In the spirit of "mutual love", the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and the labor federations of provinces and cities have launched and called for support for union members and workers in Lao Cai province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Up to now, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor has received support from 25 units including Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Labor Confederations of several provinces and cities and charitable units and organizations with a total support value of more than 4.5 billion VND (including cash and essential goods).

The above support funds will be allocated by Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor to units in a timely manner, to the right beneficiaries, helping union members and workers to soon overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and work with peace of mind.
