Lao Cai - Many health projects are being required to remove obstacles and complete the remaining items.

On August 11, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province said that the province is requesting investors, departments, branches and localities to focus on removing obstacles, accelerating the progress of investment projects to build medical facilities, and soon putting the works into use.

According to Official Dispatch No. 8070, the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requested investors to drastically urge contractors to focus manpower, machinery, and equipment to construct the remaining items, ensuring progress and quality of the project.

Investors must also proactively coordinate with the Department of Health to hand over items that meet the conditions for installing equipment, moving facilities and preparing to put the project into operation according to plan.

For projects that are behind schedule due to subjective reasons, the province requests strict handling of related responsibilities.

The Department of Construction is assigned to regularly monitor and urge investors, and promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee to resolve arising difficulties and obstacles.

For slow-progress projects, this agency must summarize and report the responsibility of the head for the Provincial People's Committee to consider and handle according to regulations.

Notably, regarding the new construction project of the old Bat Xat District General Hospital, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Chairman of Bat Xat Commune People's Committee and the Director of the Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to urgently complete site clearance and hand over the site for construction.

The two units are required not to let site clearance work affect the overall progress of the project, and at the same time be responsible to the Provincial People's Committee for the implementation progress according to commitments.

In addition to accelerating construction, the province also requested the Department of Health to direct units assigned to receive projects to proactively prepare sufficient conditions to put completed projects into use immediately.

The Department of Health coordinates with the investor to review the needs, plans for arranging facilities, equipment and operating conditions, ensuring that the project after completion is exploited effectively, practically and sustainably.

Accelerating the progress is determined by the province to soon put medical facilities into service for people, and at the same time improve the efficiency of investment capital, limiting the situation of projects being completed but slow to put into use, causing waste.
