According to the reporter's records on the afternoon of the 5th day of Tet, on the road leading to Can Tho bridge, traffic was quite busy, but there was no traffic jam.
According to the assessment, previously, on the 4th day of Tet, some workers, students and pupils had returned to the city to prepare for work. Therefore, the number of people moving today was quite small.
Mr. Pham Nhat Cuong (from Ca Mau, working in Ho Chi Minh City) said: "I regret not having time with my family during Tet, so I decided to stay in my hometown a little longer. On the 4th day of Tet, I went to Can Tho and had fun with friends, waiting for people to go first to avoid traffic jams, then I started going at 4:00 pm this afternoon. If I travel now, I will reach District 9 around late at night, so I can go to work tomorrow."
Watching the sunset in the West on the afternoon of the 5th day of Tet, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien (Bac Lieu) was moved because this was the 10th year his family left their hometown to work in the city. Although he missed his hometown, he had to suppress his pain to continue working.
"Hopefully this year the company will have many orders for production workers, and we will have good bonuses and be reunited with our families."
It is known that tomorrow (the 6th day of Tet), many businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong will resume production; factories, workshops... will start the first working day of the new year 2025.
