As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at around 9:34 p.m. on May 26, at the subsidence point on National Highway 3B through Hiep Luc village, Kim Lu commune (Na Ri, Bac Kan), a motorbike driver fell down a barrier and fell into a hole.
Upon receiving the news, the local authorities mobilized 5 field pumps to pump out water in the hole, in order to reduce pressure on the search team.
However, due to complex terrain, large depth of the hole and many obstacles, the victim's whereabouts have not been determined.
After many days of trying to drain water but unsuccessfully because the underground water rose again, the authorities were forced to adjust the search plan.
Recorded on May 29, in the sinkhole area, stagnant water returned to a higher level than the previous day, making the search for missing people even more difficult.
The authorities set up a battlefield tent right near the cage to be on duty to search for the missing people.

At the same time, urgently deploy survey and equipment coordination plans in erratic weather conditions, the water level in the hole is still high.
The scene was fenced off and warning ropes were put up. New subsidence has occurred in some nearby locations, some places are deeply eroded in the land in front of people's houses, posing a potential risk.
Previously, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Truong Quang Trong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Kim Lu Commune (Na Ri) said that the rescue forces are still actively implementing plans to approach deeper into the hole to verify the victim's location.
On the side of Na Ri district, it has proactively informed the road management unit under the Department of Construction to report to the province to consider supporting specialized forces for search and rescue.
