Recently, the Lang Son Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Lang Son Provincial Sports Complex Project (in the category of Central Stadium and Multi-purpose Gymnasium).
This is a key project, with special significance to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), towards the 18th Lang Son Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and the 14th National Party Congress.
According to the report of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Lang Son Provincial Sports Complex is deployed on an area of 28.73 hectares, with 11 items, with a total investment of more than 500 billion VND, divided into two phases.
In phase I, the project will focus on building key items: Real-time 3,000-seat and 1,000-seat mobile multi-purpose gymnasium; Sports training room; Athletes' housing; square; training ground; parking lot; synchronous technical infrastructure. According to the plan, the project will be completed by the end of 2027.
When put into operation, the Sports Complex not only meets the standards for hosting national and regional tournaments but also becomes an architectural highlight, a space for cultural and sports activities for the people, contributing to enhancing the image and position of Lang Son province.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Manh Duc - Head of the Project Management Department (Lang Son Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board) - said - the multi-purpose gymnasium with the idea of 8 rivers converging into one, demonstrating solidarity, unity, and promoting the noble and equal spirit of sports. The image of the Au Lac front hat is stylized in modern language, creating a sense of closeness and familiarity.
In particular, the project has the appearance of a salmon flower, a flower typical of the border area of Lang Son.
Also according to the leader of the Lang Son Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the unit has selected a contractor for 9/16 packages. Including package No. 16: EC Package ( design, construction, equipment installation), organized the signing of a contract with the Joint Venture of Contractors (My Son - Nga Phong - Quang Tuyen - Nhat Nuoc - Nghi Tam - Le Quang and Vietnam Inspection) and approved the construction drawing design for the leveling item, ensuring full conditions for project implementation.
Regarding site clearance, the total reclaimed area is 28.73 hectares, affecting 195 households and 3 organizations.
To date, the People's Committee of Dong Kinh Ward has approved compensation plans for 21 households and handed over 1.94 hectares to serve the project's commencement.
Of which, the capital plan for 2025 is 330 billion VND, of which 74.1 billion VND has been disbursed to date, reaching 22.45% of the plan.
