On December 10, at the regular year-end session (7th session), the People's Council of Lam Dong province, term X, 2021 - 2026, passed a Resolution on 5-year socio-economic development tasks, period 2026 - 2030 of the province.
Accordingly, in the period of 2026 - 2030, Lam Dong province sets a target of rapid and sustainable economic growth; establish a new growth model, restructure the economy. Thereby, promoting industrialization, modernization, taking science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the main driving force.

Lam Dong will promote its potential and advantages, striving to become a fairly developed province compared to the whole country by 2030, one of the dynamic growth poles of the region.
Lam Dong province strives for an average growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the period of 2025 - 2030 of about 10 - 10.5%; in which the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increases by 5-5.5%/year; the industrial and construction sector increases by 14.5-15.5%/year; the service sector increases by 11-11.5%/year.
In the period of 2025 - 2030, Lam Dong focuses on developing social, environmental, urban indicators, ensuring the lives of people.
Of which, the rate of trained workers in various forms reached 89%, the rate of trained workers with degrees and certificates reached 35-40%. Strive to basically have no poor households by 2030.
Prioritizing highway construction and industrial development
Lam Dong province has identified 3 breakthroughs including infrastructure development; administrative reform and innovation of personnel work.
In particular, for infrastructure development, Lam Dong province mobilizes resources for investment in construction and development, prioritizes investment in strategic transport infrastructure, inter-regional connectivity associated with construction. At the same time, develop digital infrastructure, science and technology, and innovation.

In the field of administrative reform, localities remove difficulties and barriers to promote resources, especially issues related to planning, compensation, and site clearance.
At the same time, develop and promulgate mechanisms and policies to attract large-scale private economic groups with investment capacity and experience in the province.
In the period of 2026-2030, Lam Dong province focuses on investing and constructing key projects.

For the investment project from the state budget, the province has accelerated the works serving the North-South high-speed railway project; Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway, Tan Phu - Bao Loc section, Bao Loc - Lien Khuong section; Nha Trang - Lien Khuong expressway, Gia Nghia - Phan Thiet expressway; North - South expressway in the West, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section; renovating and upgrading national highways 27, 28, 55, Gia Nghia - Bao Lam dynamic road.
At the same time, invest in and build a new administrative - political center of the province; irrigation projects; national coastal roads; Son My I and Son My II BOT power plants; Son My LNG warehouse.
Attract investment in bauxite plant complexes, alumina processing plants; renewable energy projects, especially offshore wind power; Southern Lam Dong coastal economic zone, high-tech zone; logistics center, seaports, and dry ports.
Along with the project to upgrade and expand Lien Khuong International Airport; Phan Thiet Airport project for civil aviation; large-scale urban, tourism and commercial areas; industrial parks.
To achieve the above goals, Lam Dong province has set out 6 key tasks and solutions on guiding viewpoints; economic growth according to the new model; developing socio-cultural development; improving foreign affairs and international cooperation; administrative reform; strengthening national defense and security, creating a stable environment for development.
For economic development tasks, Lam Dong province prioritizes economic development and growth in the direction of industrialization and modernization, taking science - technology, innovation, digital transformation as the driving force.
In particular, industrial development has competitive advantages including agricultural processing, manufacturing, and renewable energy.
At the same time, form a coastal economic zone in the South of Lam Dong province to attract investment in large-scale projects such as seaports, seaport services, energy, electricity, gas, etc.
