Hanoi - Despite propaganda and mobilization, households in Giang Vo ward still do not hand over the land for the Ring Road 1 project, and the authorities have to force it.

On the morning of December 10, Giang Vo ward coordinated with the functional forces of Hanoi city to carry out land recovery enforcement in cases of intentional failure to hand over land for the investment project to build Ring Road 1 - Voi Phuc section.

In Giang Vo ward, the Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section of Ring Road 1 project through the ward has a total of 795 site clearance plans. On November 21, the People's Committee of Giang Vo Ward completed the approval of 795/795 plans.

Determining that site clearance for the investment project to build the Ring Road 1 section Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc is a key and urgent political task, implementing the direction of the City Party Committee, City People's Committee, Party Committee, and People's Committee of Giang Vo Ward has focused on implementing the "20-day and night" peak, determined to complete and hand over the site on schedule before December 15.

For complex cases with many problems, the leaders of Giang Vo Ward People's Committee have directly met and held many meetings to explain in detail the provisions of the law, while maximizing the most beneficial policies for the people according to regulations.

The Ward People's Committee also updates the situation and implementation progress regularly, continuously daily, even by the hour, through the working group.

In recent days, leaders and staff of Giang Vo Ward People's Committee have deployed work related to site clearance nearly 24/24 hours to ensure progress.

Vice Chairman of Giang Ward People's Committee Vo Nguyen Anh Dung said that in many cases, people were not present at the address, and ward officials went directly to their residence to mobilize the handover of the site.

"The ward is trying to ensure that it is necessary to limit the implementation of land recovery enforcement measures," said Vice Chairman of Giang Vo Ward People's Committee.

By the morning of December 10, before the enforcement time, the ward leaders directly came to propagate, explain, and mobilize households at 17 lane 74, Thanh Cong street to agree to hand over the site before the enforcement time, ensuring the rights of the people as well as limiting 1 more case of enforcement.

Chairman of Giang Ward People's Committee Vo Co Nhu Dung said that most of the affected households have accepted compensation and handed over the clean site to the construction unit.

"Up to the time of compulsory land recovery on December 10, Giang Vo ward only had to implement for 1 household that deliberately did not hand over the site; meanwhile, 15 days ago, there were still 438 households that had not handed over the site.

The site clearance work for the Ring Road 1 project in Giang Vo ward has so far achieved decisive results. The final areas are being urgently dismantled to hand over to the Hanoi Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board to implement the project," said the Chairman of Giang Vo Ward People's Committee.

The completion of site clearance in Giang Vo ward has basically removed a major "bottleneck", creating favorable conditions for contractors to speed up the construction progress, and soon put the Ring Road 1 section Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc into operation, contributing to solving the serious traffic congestion in the inner city of Hanoi.
