The project to upgrade and expand the route from Km31 (National Highway 3) to the ATK Dinh Hoa National Special Historical Site was implemented from the end of 2021. The project is worth 302 billion VND and is invested by the Thai Nguyen Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
This is a group B road, meeting grade III mountainous standards, with a roadbed width of 9 meters, a road surface of 8 meters, a 7cm thick asphalt concrete carpet, and a design speed of 60km. The road is built synchronously with drainage works and a complete traffic safety system.
According to PV on January 7, most of the route has been paved with asphalt by the construction unit. Currently, workers and machinery are being mobilized to construct a series of rigid bridges, aiming to synchronize the traffic infrastructure. The shapes of the rigid bridges on the route are gradually taking shape, replacing the old, small and narrow bridges.
A construction worker at Na Tam bridge said that there are a total of 4 rigid bridges along the entire upgrade project route, of which 1 bridge has been completed. For the Na Tam bridge project, the bridge ramp and approach road are under construction. At peak times, there were 2 teams with more than 30 workers and construction equipment.
At Tin Keo bridge, workers are currently leveling and creating a surface for the project. The piers and bridge deck are being speeded up to replace the old, degraded bridge.
On January 7, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Ma Doan Thanh - Vice Chairman of Phu Dinh Commune People's Committee (Dinh Hoa District) said that the project through the commune is about 7km long, including 2 newly built hard bridges, Na Tam and Tin Keo.
"Previously, the old bridges were small and narrow, and traffic volume was high, so traffic collisions often occurred. Currently, contractors are constructing a rigid bridge, which when completed will contribute to promoting economic development and synchronizing traffic infrastructure. Especially in the western area of Thai Nguyen, where there is a large volume of traffic from neighboring provinces passing through. People are looking forward to the early completion of these bridges to ensure traffic," the leader added.
According to information from the investor, the project to upgrade and expand the route from Km31 (QL3) to the ATK Dinh Hoa National Special Historical Site has a total of 6 packages. Package 3 has been completed, packages 4 and 5 will be completed before the Lunar New Year. The package for the construction of rigid bridges is being accelerated to ensure progress.
