Central walking street
The project of Urban Area and Central Walking Street of Thai Nguyen City is built on an area of 6.65 hectares, located in Trung Vuong ward.
The project includes a commercial housing project in the mid- and high-end segments, expected to be 6 floors with about 174 apartments. The walking street is over 330m long and over 52m wide. The project has a total investment of over 894.5 billion VND, implemented in 4 years (from the second quarter of 2025 to the end of the second quarter of 2029).

In phase 1 of the project from 2022 to 2024, Thai Nguyen City will spend 120 billion VND, of which 115 billion VND will be used for site clearance and 5 billion VND will be used for construction and project fees. The locality is relocating over 20 agencies and units to deploy and implement the New Urban Area and Central Walking Street project.
In early January 2025, at the 83rd Conference of the Standing Committee of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, term XX, term 2020-2025, delegates all agreed on the project investment policy.
Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung emphasized that this is a major project, not only contributing to creating a new, modern look for Thai Nguyen City but also having economic and social significance and value. The project will create a highlight, a relic, a cultural work, a century-old symbol of the province and Thai Nguyen City. At the same time, it will create a unique landscape architecture space, a local cultural activity spot.
Belt connecting 3 National Highways
The Ring Road 1 project (Bo Dau - Hoa Thuong section) and the Hoa Thuong urban bypass (Dong Hy district) were approved by the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee in Decision 1994/QD-UBND dated August 21, 2024. This is a key project to welcome the 21st Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

The initial project length was 14km, starting at Bo Dau (Phu Luong district), ending at Linh Nham bridge (Dong Hy district) with a total investment of 1,152 billion VND. After being adjusted down 5.3km, the total investment was reduced to 972 billion VND. In parallel with the project implementation, the authorities are carrying out site clearance and building resettlement areas.
Once completed, the route will form a connecting axis for three routes: National Highway 1B, National Highway 3, and National Highway 37.
Two bridges over the river 1,500 billion VND
Quang Vinh 1 and Quang Vinh 2 Bridge Project has a total investment of 1,500 billion VND, invested by Thai Nguyen City Construction Investment Project Management Board. The project belongs to Group B, implemented in 5 communes and wards including: Quan Trieu, Dong Bam, Chua Hang, Cao Ngan and Quang Vinh.

The total land area recovered for the project is more than 17 hectares of 464 households and 9 organizations. The length of Quang Vinh 1 bridge and traffic road, Quang Vinh 2 bridge and traffic road are 3.45km and 2.38km respectively.
According to the leaders of Cao Ngan commune (Thai Nguyen city), the locality has completed the inventory of assets and crops of more than 168 households whose land was recovered to implement the project. The project is currently under construction and, when completed, will synchronize the traffic infrastructure, increase regional connectivity, and help develop the economy and society.
