On April 19, leaders of Na Sang Commune People's Committee, Dien Bien province said that in the late afternoon of April 18, a tornado occurred in Huoi Ha village, causing property damage to people and educational institutions, initial estimates of about 300 million VND.
Specifically, 1 elementary school branch had its roof blown off, 9 households were affected, there were no casualties but many properties, houses of people and educational institutions were damaged by tornadoes.
On the morning of April 19, the Na Sang Commune Civil Defense Command mobilized 17 people including commune leaders, civil servants, officials, soldiers and people of Huoi Ha village to participate in repairing houses, schools, cleaning up the scene, soon stabilizing people's lives and ensuring students' education.
