On December 5, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency is continuing to investigate the serious fire that killed 4 people and injured 2 others at a restaurant at 227 Tran Hung Dao, Cau Ong Lanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Ho Chi Minh City Police, the house on fire had only one direct exit in front. This exit is installed with a solid rolling door, making it difficult for the authorities to cut and destroy it to access the scene, deploy fire fighting and rescue.
The fire broke out at 16:36. The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Ho Chi Minh City Police mobilized 9 vehicles and 61 officers and soldiers to the scene. The police had to cut the rolls on the ground floor to spray water to put out the fire. 7 soldiers carrying protective gear and poison protection entered the inside in time to bring the 6 trapped victims out.


The fire was controlled at 5:47 a.m. and completely extinguished at 6:15 a.m.

The 4 deaths include:
Ms. D.T.K.H (born in 1985) - restaurant owner.
Ms. L.Q.A (born in 1990) - a friend of the employee came to visit.
Baby D.K.L (born in 2018) - the owner of the restaurant.
Baby H.N.K (born in 2023) - the owner of the restaurant.
The two injured people include: K (born in 2007) - a restaurant employee and T (born in 2004) - a restaurant employee.
Initial damage determined that about 20 m2 of the first floor kitchen area was burned and the fire spread to the upper floors. The house has a total construction area of about 352 m2.
According to Ho Chi Minh City Police, the time of the fire was at night, the fire was mainly household items, emitting a lot of smoke, dense toxic gas and high temperatures also made it difficult to fight the fire and rescue work.
