Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has just signed Official Dispatch 236/CD-TTg dated December 5, 2025 on the fire at 227 Tran Hung Dao Street, Cau Ong Lanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
The dispatch was sent to the Ministers of the Ministries of Public Security and Health; Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities, stating:
At about 16:37 on December 5, a fire broke out at 227 Tran Hung Dao Street, Cau Ong Lanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, killing 4 people and injuring 2 others.
On behalf of the Government and the Prime Minister, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh sent his condolences to the relatives and families of the victims and gave the following instructions:
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directed the organization of thoughtful visits, timely encouragement, material and spiritual support, creating the best conditions to soon stabilize the place and life of the victim's family; closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to urgently investigate the cause of the fire, clarify the responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals; strictly handle violations (if any) according to the provisions of law.
The Ministry of Health directs medical examination and treatment facilities and relevant authorities to create the best conditions to treat injured people in the fire.
The Minister of Public Security and Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities continue to strictly implement the Prime Minister's instructions on fire prevention and fighting, especially Directive No. 01/CT-TTg on strengthening fire prevention and fighting in the new situation.
Strengthen propaganda, fostering knowledge and skills in fire prevention, fighting, rescue, combined with inspection and guidance on fire and explosion safety conditions for people and facilities at high risk of fire and explosion, minimizing the consequences and damage caused by fire and explosion in the area.
