Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen - Founder and Chairman of the Inter-Pacific Group (IPPG) - is one of 16 individuals named "Person of the Year 2024" by The Moodie Davitt Report Magazine.
In the newsletter No. 342 on December 19, The Moodie Davitt Report pointed out that not many people can have a profound impact and shape the aviation, tourism, travel trade and luxury goods sectors of a country, but Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen has done it.
The magazine said that Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen "really opened Vietnam to the world" after the embargo by convincing Philippine President Marcos to allow a Vietnam Airlines plane to take off from Ho Chi Minh City to Manila on September 9, 1985.
"Five days later, he returned home with a series of essential supplies, marking a turning point in Vietnamese history," the magazine emphasized.
According to the British magazine, in the following years, as "captain", Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen continuously promoted the incredible transformation process, contributing to making Vietnam an emerging economic power in Asia and the aviation industry played a central role in that driving force.
The magazine's introduction of Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen emphasized that, in addition to his leadership role in one of the strongest enterprises in Vietnam, IPPG, Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen is also the Chairman of SASCO and Cam Ranh International Airport.
The British magazine also recognized his outstanding contributions to charitable social activities, demonstrating the social responsibility of Vietnamese enterprises.
In honoring Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen as "Person of the Year 2024", The Moodie Davitt Report also pointed out that IPPG co-chaired The Trinity Forum in Ho Chi Minh City in November 2024.
It is known that Trinity Forum 2024 is the world's largest forum for exchanging and connecting businesses in the field of aviation trade, first organized by The Moodie Davitt Report in February 2003 in London, UK.
The Moodie Davitt Report is one of the UK's leading business-to-business (B2B) multimedia publishers. It was founded in 2002 by Martin Moodie and published by Moodie International.
