Accordingly, African swine fever occurred in 25 households/11 villages/8 communes and wards of Dong Hoi city, Tuyen Hoa, Quang Trach and Minh Hoa districts. The number of pigs forced to be destroyed is 281 pigs with a weight of more than 20,000kg.
Outbreaks often originate in livestock households that do not ensure disease safety and veterinary hygiene according to regulations. There are currently 4 communes with epidemics lasting less than 21 days, including Minh Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district, Lam Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district and 2 communes of Quang Trach district, Phu Hoa and Quang Hop.
The Provincial Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine is continuing to review and actively monitor the epidemic situation, ensuring early detection, warning and directing the thorough handling of African swine fever outbreaks, not allowing The disease spread widely.
The recent practice of people dumping dead pigs in the fields in the area could cause large outbreaks. After receiving feedback from the mass media, the locality quickly cleaned up to ensure environmental hygiene, along with preventing possible epidemics and outbreaks.
The People's Committee of Quang Binh province requires departments, branches, branches and localities to continue to focus on leading, directing and implementing drastic, synchronous and effective solutions to prevent and control African swine fever. .
Quang Binh province will also consider and handle the responsibility of the leader if he is subjective or negligent in leadership and direction, allowing the epidemic to break out and prolong in the management area.
