Areas likely to experience thunderstorms include Ben Thanh ward, Cho Lon ward, Tan My ward, Tan Hung ward, Phu Dinh ward, Binh Dong ward, Tay Nam ward, Vung Tau ward, Tam Thang ward, Rach Dua ward, Tan Hai ward, Tan Phuoc ward.

In the next 3 hours, convective clouds will continue to develop, causing showers with thunderstorms and lightning in the above areas, then it is likely to expand to neighboring areas. Common rainfall is from 5-25 mm, in some places over 30 mm.

During thunderstorms, people need to be wary of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind at level 5-7, with speeds of about 8-17 m/s. Heavy rain in a short time can cause localized flooding in some areas.

The cause of thunderstorms is due to the tropical convergence zone with its axis through the North, combined with the Southwest monsoon operating at medium to strong intensity and the upper-level wind convergence operating better.
