Expanding the 30km long road connecting 2 districts of Dong Nai province

HÀ ANH CHIẾN |

Dong Nai - The project to upgrade and expand DT 769 road, nearly 30km long, passes through 2 districts of the province connecting Dau Giay intersection and Long Thanh airport.

On March 17, the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said it is proposing to the Department of Finance to consider reporting to competent authorities to arrange capital in 2025 to organize the selection of a consulting contractor to implement the construction design after the basic design for the project to upgrade and expand DT 769 road through Thong Nhat and Long Thanh districts.

Up to now, this project has had its feasibility study report approved in November 2024.

In January 2025, the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board also approved the cost estimate for investment preparation for the construction design step.

However, the capital plan for 2025 has not been arranged, so the selection of contractors to implement the construction design step has not been organized.

DT 769 road has a starting point intersecting with National Highway 1 in Dau Giay town, Thong Nhat district and an ending point intersecting with National Highway 51, Long Thanh district. This existing route is located right on the side of the Long Thanh airport project under construction.

This is a vital traffic route serving the transportation of goods from the Northern and Central Highlands provinces to the areas of Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts and vice versa. DT 769 Road is also the route connecting to the northeastern gateway of Long Thanh Airport.

Currently, along DT 769 road, there are many industrial parks, real estate projects, resettlement areas and many projects being implemented around this area, causing the number of vehicles circulating to continuously increase.

DT 769 road is planned to be invested in construction including 2 sections.

Of which, section 1 from the intersection with Dau Giay intersection to Ring Road 4 is 15.5km long; section 2 from Ring Road 4 to National Highway 51 is 15.3km long, of which 8.4km will be newly opened and 6.9km will be upgraded and expanded.

From the above plan, the Department of Transport (now the Department of Construction) has proposed to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province an investment plan to upgrade and expand DT 769 road.

For section 1, it will be upgraded and expanded to 4 car lanes and 2 mixed car lanes; section 2 will be invested in upgrading and expanding with 6 car lanes and 2 mixed car lanes.

Currently, Dong Nai province is investing in expanding 3 projects including: DT 769 road, DT 770B and DT 773 with a total investment of more than VND 18,000 billion to connect Long Thanh airport.

The project to upgrade and expand DT 769 road through Thong Nhat and Long Thanh districts is nearly 30km long, with a total investment of more than VND 6,256 billion, of which the construction cost is more than VND 2,246 billion from the provincial budget. The implementation period is from 2022-2027.
