Complete Ring Road 3 section and An Phu intersection by the end of 2025
Long Thanh Airport (Dong Nai province) is expected to complete phase 1 by the end of 2025, with a capacity to serve 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo per year.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, to increase connectivity with Long Thanh airport, the city is speeding up the completion and commencement of a series of key projects.
By the end of this year, Ho Chi Minh City will complete the An Phu intersection project and the Ring Road 3 section through Thu Duc City.

Beltway 3 through Ho Chi Minh City is more than 47 km long, of which the section through Thu Duc City is more than 14 km long, designed with an elevated road with 4 lanes in phase 1.
This route connects from Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, passes through Thu Duc City and ends at Tan Van Intersection (Binh Duong). The project is currently being accelerated and is expected to open to traffic by the end of 2025.

The An Phu intersection project (Thu Duc City) has a total investment of more than 3,400 billion VND, and has now reached more than 65% of the total construction volume.
Of which, Ba Dat bridge on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway and Giong Ong To 2 bridge (connecting Mai Chi Tho street with Dong Van Cong) have been completed.
Currently, 5 overpasses and 2 underpasses in this area are being urgently deployed to ensure the completion of the entire project by the end of 2025.
Construction of two sections of Ring Road 2 and expansion of expressway access roads commenced
Along with that, Ho Chi Minh City will start construction of two sections of Belt Road 2 through Thu Duc City and expand the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.
The two sections of Ring Road 2 include: the section from Phu Huu Bridge to Vo Nguyen Giap Street (3.5 km long) and the section from Vo Nguyen Giap Street to Pham Van Dong Street (2.8 km long).

The total investment for these two sections is over VND13,800 billion, of which site clearance costs account for about VND7,500 billion. The project is expected to start in the second quarter of 2025 and be completed before June 30, 2026.
Beltway 2 will have a clearance width of 67 m, with parallel roads 17 m wide on each side, including 3 lanes. The middle part will be reserved for future expansion. This project affects about 1,166 cases and the total land acquisition area is more than 61 hectares.

The 4km Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway (section from An Phu intersection to Ring Road 2) will be expanded from 4 to 8 lanes, including upgrading Muong Kenh Bridge and Do Xuan Hop overpass.
Because there is no need for site clearance (because it has been done before), the project has a total investment capital of nearly 1,000 billion VND from the Ho Chi Minh City budget.
The project is expected to start construction in the third quarter of 2025 and be completed in the third quarter of 2026.
