On the morning of May 20, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa commune (Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province) said that the search for Mr. Dinh Minh Hieu (born in 1985, residing in Bac Son village 4, Thanh Hoa commune), who went missing while searching for bees in the forest, is still being urgently deployed but there are no results.
Today, the commune has increased by 20 people, bringing the total number of people participating in the search to about 80 people. At the same time, the search area has also been expanded to about 4km2 of mountainous forest, focusing on deep forests where local people often go to collect honey.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on May 17, Mr. Hieu went into the forest to find bees. When they could not return that evening, their relatives reported it to the local authorities.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Thanh Hoa commune government mobilized about 60 people including police, military, militia and local people to search the suspected area.
The local government said it will continue to closely coordinate with functional forces and people in the area to organize the search in a spirit of urgency, not leaving any suspicious areas.
