On the afternoon of February 6, the People's Committee of Phuoc Ninh Ward (Hai Chau District, Da Nang City) organized an exchange and encouragement session between soldiers who had completed their service and returned to their localities and young people preparing to join the army.
At the program, 43 enlisted citizens and 20 discharged soldiers were encouraged and presented with gifts by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Veterans Association, Women's Union and Youth Union of the ward.
In particular, young people preparing to join the army are also encouraged by their “seniors” and share their experiences about the days of living and training in the military environment. That will be the first time when they miss home, miss their loved ones, feel confused when getting used to the regulations along with the difficulties and challenges that any soldier must go through.
However, the military is also a great training environment. Because, after 2 years of military service, the young men who were shy and hesitant 2 years ago can now confidently and boldly share in the hall.
Recently discharged soldier Huynh Minh Ha shared: “I feel like I have matured a lot, from building a disciplined lifestyle, practicing patience, and being more diligent in everything. After being discharged from the army, I can also orient myself on what I will do in the future, what profession to study to help my family and develop myself.”

As one of the future soldiers, Tran Nhat Tien (residing in Phuoc Ninh ward, Hai Chau district) said that choosing to join the army right after completing high school, both Tien and his family hope that the army will help Tien become more confident and mature.
"I hope that after completing my military service, I can be oriented and advised on a future career to help my parents" - Tien shared.

Sharing those thoughts with the young men preparing to join the army, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Bao Nam - Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuoc Ninh Ward, Hai Chau District - said that in recent years, the young men of Phuoc Ninh Ward have always been ready to take turns joining the army to protect the Fatherland.
From the sharing of the soldiers who have just returned from their military service, it can be affirmed that the military environment is a favorable condition to help young people practice, strive and mature.
“With the spirit of solidarity, dynamism, and diligence inherent in every young person, combined with the endurance of youth and creative thinking in life as well as in study, I believe that the young men preparing to join the army will overcome all difficulties and challenges, improve their moral qualities, practice military discipline well, and complete their assigned tasks well to be worthy of the tradition of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers”, Mr. Nam shared.
