At Nha Rong port (HCMC) on the morning of September 22, 2025, the HMS Richmond multi-purpose protection ship of the British Royal Navy, began a friendly visit to Ho Chi Minh City. The visit took place on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Strategic Partnership between the UK and Vietnam, emphasizing diplomatic commitments and strengthening cooperation in security and defense.
On this occasion, the Consulate General of the UK in Ho Chi Minh City organized the UK - Vietnam Summer Festival 2025 to welcome the HMS Richmond ship as well as celebrate the 15th anniversary of upgrading the UK - Vietnam Strategic Partnership. The program was attended by representatives of embassies, consulates in Ho Chi Minh City, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and heads of British enterprises in Vietnam.
