In August 2024, after receiving information that INTCO Vietnam Industrial Company Limited (in Area A, Bim Son Industrial Park, Thanh Hoa Province) was carrying out construction without a license, the People's Committee of Bac Son Ward, Bim Son Town established a working group to conduct an on-site inspection.
At the time of the inspection, the company was digging foundations and constructing works. However, the company had not yet provided documents and construction permits. Immediately after that, the inspection team made a record, requiring the company to stop construction and complete the construction permit application according to regulations.
According to the representative of the Bac Son Ward People's Committee, although after the inspection, the functional sector requested to stop construction and complete the documents. However, this enterprise still proceeded with construction.
Regarding the above incident, on November 21, the People's Committee of Bac Son ward reported to the People's Committee of Bim Son town, requesting consideration and direction of functional forces, and coordination with the locality to handle the matter.
Immediately afterwards, the functional departments of Bim Son town and Bac Son ward had a meeting with representatives of INTCO Vietnam Industrial Company Limited. According to the meeting minutes, the functional departments requested the company to stop all construction activities for the above project and complete the procedures according to regulations.
Also at the meeting, a representative of INTCO Vietnam Industrial Company Limited said that due to the urgent progress and unfavorable weather conditions, the company tried to complete some items. Regarding the documents related to the construction, the company is about to complete and has been appraised by the Ministry of Construction, and is expected to be granted a construction permit within about a month.
The company's representative also pledged to immediately stop construction and apply for a full construction permit before continuing.
Although this company has made the above commitment, however, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, in early December 2024, this company is still continuing to send people and vehicles to gather materials and assemble iron frame houses, with a scale of thousands of square meters.
The representative of the People's Committee of Bac Son Ward said that INTCO Vietnam Industrial Company Limited continued to construct the project without a construction permit. On December 4, the locality continued to send a document to the People's Committee of Bim Son Town to propose a solution to the above problem.
