The Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City has just signed Decision No. 02/QD-XPHC dated September 4, 2025 on administrative sanctions against Son Tra Resort Joint Stock Company, the owner of Son Tra Resort (address in Bai Nam - Bai Con, Son Tra Ward, Da Nang City).
According to the decision, through the actual inspection process led by the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes, Smuggling and Environment (Da Nang City Police) in coordination with the Department of Environmental Protection (Department of Agriculture and Environment), Son Tra Ward Police and related units, the authorities discovered that this facility had many violations of regulations on environmental protection and food safety.
This facility was determined to operate without an environmental license as prescribed under the licensing authority of the Provincial People's Committee.
Not collecting and storing hazardous waste according to regulations; not complying with regulations on the three-step food inspection regime; not complying with regulations on food sample storage; based on current decrees.
The People's Committee of Da Nang City has decided to fine a total of 366 million VND, of which: 320 million VND for not having an environmental license, 30 million VND for not collecting and storing hazardous waste, 8 million VND for not implementing the three-step food inspection regime, 8 million VND for not storing food samples.
In addition, Son Tra Resort was suspended from operating a source of waste without an environmental license for 4 months and 15 days, and had to take measures to overcome environmental pollution and report the implementation results.
Son Tra Joint Stock Company is responsible for paying the fine on time according to regulations and strictly complying with the penalty decision. In case of non-voluntary compliance, enforcement will be enforced and an additional 0.05% of the fine will be calculated on the total amount not paid for each late payment day.
The enterprise also has the right to complain or initiate an administrative lawsuit against this decision according to the provisions of law.
