Recorded in many areas in Ho Chi Minh City being deeply flooded, causing difficulties for people to move. On Thoi Hoa street, prolonged flooding caused vehicles to move slowly, many motorbikes stalled in the middle of the road.
At some low-lying points, water rose rapidly after heavy rain accompanied by strong thunderstorms. People struggled to travel during rush hour, traffic through the area was locally congested. Some households along the road also had to urgently raise their belongings to prevent water from overflowing into their houses.
On some roads such as 3 Thang 2, Nguyen Duy Trinh, Do Xuan Hop... thunderstorms also occurred quickly.
According to forecasts, in the coming hours, convective clouds will continue to develop and cause showers with thunderstorms and lightning in many wards and communes in Ho Chi Minh City with rainfall of 10-30 mm, locally heavy rain over 70 mm.
The meteorological agency warns that during thunderstorms, people need to be wary of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind at level 5-7 (8-17m/s). Heavy rain in a short time can also cause localized flooding in some low-lying areas.
