Ms. Truong Thi Huong, 71 years old, living in Ward 1, Bac Lieu city said, "Today, November 3, there is still little rain, yesterday it rained more. I am now 71 years old but have never witnessed such a heavy rain".
By the evening of the same day, roads such as Tran Phu, Ton Duc Thang, Tran Huynh, Hoa Binh, Hoa Binh extension, Hung Vuong, Vo Van Kiet, Hai Ba Trung, etc. were still flooded, with some sections having water more than half a wheel deep, making it very difficult for vehicles to move. Many vehicles and motorbikes stalled and could not move, and many motorbikes had to be pushed.
Flooded roads make life, activities and business of households even more chaotic. Many small traders have to work hard to cover their stalls and move their vehicles to avoid water damage.
By the afternoon of November 3, the water had not yet receded, many stores had to close to avoid being affected by water flooding inside; others had to close early due to poor business.
