According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 9:00 AM on May 12, in the North, the water flow to the Da River system continued to be high. Lai Chau Lake reached a water level of 294.32 m, a flow rate of 896 m3/s, and a total discharge of 1,511 m3/s.
Son La Lake reached 204.49 m, with a flow rate of 2,063 m3/s, discharging 1,507 m3/s. Hoa Binh Lake reached 106.58 m, with a flow rate of 1,253 m3/s and discharging 1,766 m3/s.
Tuyen Quang Lake has a water level of 110.51 m, discharging 261.15 m3/s; Thac Ba discharges 232.44 m3/s.
In the North Central region, Trung Son reservoir has a water level of 156.69 m, discharging 83 m3/s; Khe Bo reservoir discharges 95.5 m3/s, while Ban Ve and Quang Tri reservoirs have low inflow, and no significant discharge has occurred.
In the South Central Coast, some reservoirs increased discharge for power generation such as Song Tranh 2 (105 m3/s), Song Ba Ha (120 m3/s), Song Bung 2 (17 m3/s), Vinh Son A (7.58 m3/s); many other reservoirs have not yet discharged.
The Central Highlands region recorded many power generation reservoirs with large flow rates: Se San 4 discharges 290 m3/s, Ialy 130 m3/s, Pleikrông 123 m3/s, Thuong Kon Tum 26.58 m3/s.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir discharged 358 m3/s when the inflow reached 130 m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 12, the Northern region will have showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially the northern mountainous region tonight will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places.
