Water levels of hydropower reservoirs nationwide on August 16th

Many hydropower reservoirs across the country are still lower than the normal water level, some reservoirs in the Northern region are maintaining large inflows and discharging water through works.

According to updated data at 3:15 PM on August 16, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 104.02m, 120m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the reservoir is 526m3/s, total discharge is 742.52m3/s.

In the Northwest region, Lai Chau reservoir reached 294.53m, 295m lower than the normal water level; water inflow to the reservoir is 1,350m3/s, total discharge is 1,452m3/s. Son La reservoir is at 197.59m, 215m lower than the normal water level; water inflow to the reservoir is 2,247m3/s, total discharge is 3,204m3/s.

Hoa Binh Lake has an upstream water level of 103.91m, which is 117m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the lake is 3,496m3/s, total discharge is 2,783m3/s. Thac Ba Lake is at 54.17m, water flow to the lake is 310m3/s and total discharge is 294.04m3/s.

In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has a water level of 152.58m, 160m lower than the normal water level; water flows to the lake 442m3/s, total discharge 670m3/s. Ban Ve Lake is at 188.66m, water flows 376m3/s, total discharge 344m3/s. Khe Bo Lake has a water level of 63.89m, close to the normal water level of 65m, water flows 59.1m3/s and total discharge 487.7m3/s.

In the South Central Coast, the water level of reservoirs continues to be lower than the normal water level. A Vuong Lake is at 348.74m, Song Bung 2 Lake is at 575.67m, Song Bung 4 Lake is at 207.96m and Song Tranh 2 Lake is at 147.71m.

In the Central Highlands, Ialy reservoir has a water level of 501.34m, 515m lower than the normal water level; water flows to the reservoir 220m3/s, total discharge 220m3/s. Pleiku reservoir is at 550.79m, water flows 661m3/s, total discharge 75m3/s. Se San 4 reservoir has a water level of 213.61m, water flows 381m3/s, total discharge 675m3/s.

In the Southeast region, Tri An Lake has a water level of 53.94m, 62m lower than the normal water level; water inflow to the lake is 560m3/s, total discharge is 124m3/s. Thac Mo Lake is at 205m, water inflow is 157.78m3/s and no discharge is recorded at the time of update.
