Information from Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC), at about 4:40 pm on August 16, at Km120+400 of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, passing through Lao Cai province, a collision occurred between 3 vehicles.
Through initial verification, passenger car license plate 29B-507.64 did not maintain a safe distance, crashed into the rear of 16-seater car license plate 89F-000.34 and car license plate 30B-281.44.
The incident injured 1 person who was taken to the emergency room. Three vehicles were damaged, no damage was recorded to the road project.
At the time of the incident, the traffic safety system on the route was complete, the road surface was normal, and the weather was not raining.
After the incident occurred, Operation Team No. 2 of VECO&M approached the scene, coordinated with traffic police force C08 to ensure traffic safety, resolve the incident, and at the same time mobilized rescue vehicles and 115 Lao Cai emergency to take the injured to the emergency room.
The cause of the incident is being clarified by functional forces.
Previously, at about 11:30 am on August 14 at Km100+600 of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, a passenger car crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer. About 10 minutes later, at Km100+400, another passenger car lost control, crashed into corrugated iron on the side of the road and overturned.
At 1:15 PM, at Km158+520 through Tan Hop commune, Lao Cai province, passenger car 25H-001.00 collided with car 30L-884.31 traveling in the same direction, causing damage to both vehicles.
Operating teams have coordinated with functional forces to ensure traffic safety and handle incidents. Department C08 is verifying the causes of the accidents.
