Water levels of hydropower reservoirs nationwide on August 18

Many hydropower reservoirs across the country on August 18th were still lower than the normal water level, while some reservoirs had large inflows.

According to updated data until about 12:00 on August 18, the water level at many hydropower reservoirs across the country is still lower than the normal water level. Some large reservoirs are having high inflow and total discharge.

In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 103.33 m, 16.67 m lower than the normal water level of 120 m. Inflow to the reservoir reached 535 m3/s, total discharge volume 752.88 m3/s.

In the Northwest region, Lai Chau reservoir has a water level of 294.50 m, 0.50 m lower than the normal water level of 295 m. The water flow to the reservoir reached 1,379 m3/s, the total discharge volume was 1,584 m3/s, of which discharge through the spillway was 95 m3/s and through the plant was 1,489 m3/s.

Ban Chat Lake has a water level of 470.71 m, 4.29 m lower than the normal water level of 475 m. Inflow to the lake is 135 m3/s, total discharge is 240 m3/s.

Huo Huoi Quang Lake has a water level of 368.97 m, 1.03 m lower than the normal water level of 370 m. Inflow to the lake reached 321 m3/s, total discharge volume 339 m3/s.

Son La Lake has a water level of 196.94 m, 18.06 m lower than the normal water level of 215 m. Inflow to the lake reached 2,747 m3/s, total discharge volume 3,275 m3/s.

At Hoa Binh reservoir, the upstream water level is 104.62 m, 12.38 m lower than the normal water level of 117 m. Inflow to the reservoir reached 3,842 m3/s, total discharge volume 2,815 m3/s.

Thac Ba Lake has a water level of 54.18 m, 3.82 m lower than the normal water level of 58 m. Inflow to the lake reached 475 m3/s, total discharge volume 458.08 m3/s.

In the North Central region, Trung Son reservoir has a water level of 150.07 m, 9.93 m lower than the normal water level of 160 m. Inflow to the reservoir is 346 m3/s, total discharge is 489 m3/s.

Ban Ve Lake has a water level of 188.56 m, 11.44 m lower than the normal water level of 200 m. The inflow to the lake reached 346 m3/s, total discharge volume 344 m3/s.

In the Central Highlands, Ialy Lake has a water level of 501.80 m, 13.20 m lower than the normal water level of 515 m. Inflow to the lake is 286 m3/s, total discharge is 323 m3/s.

Se San 4 reservoir has a water level of 213.56 m, 1.44 m lower than the normal water level of 215 m. Inflow to the reservoir reached 841 m3/s, total discharge volume 620 m3/s.

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 54.07 m, 7.93 m lower than the normal water level of 62 m. Inflow to the reservoir reached 710 m3/s, total discharge volume 538 m3/s.
