According to updated data at 7:00 AM on August 17, the water level at many hydropower reservoirs across the country is still lower than the normal water level. Some reservoirs in the North are having large inflows and maintaining water discharge through the plant.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 103.82m, 120m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the reservoir is 528m3/s, total discharge is 744.51m3/s.
In the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake is at 294.52m, close to the normal water level of 295m; water inflow is 1,672m3/s and total discharge is 1,467m3/s. Son La Lake has a water level of 197.38m, lower than the normal water level by 215m, water inflow is 2,545m3/s and total discharge is 3,151m3/s.
Hoa Binh Lake has an upstream water level of 104.23m, which is 117m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake reached 3,362m3/s, total discharge volume 2,845m3/s.
In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has a water level of 151.49m, a flow rate of 370m3/s and a total discharge rate of 571m3/s. Khe Bo Lake is at 63.58m, lower than the normal water level by 65m; a flow rate of 297.2m3/s, a total discharge rate of 487.7m3/s.
In the South Central Coast, the water level of reservoirs is generally lower than the normal water level. A Vuong Lake is at 348.51m; Bung 4 River is at 207.97m; Tranh 2 River is at 147.39m; Ba Ha River is 103.36m.
In the Central Highlands, Ialy Lake has a water level of 501.47m, 515m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake 286m3/s, total discharge 286m3/s. Pleikrông Lake has a water level of 551.07m, inflow 326m3/s and total discharge 50m3/s.
Se San 4 Lake has a water level of 213.61m, which is 215m lower than the normal water level; water inflow is 603m3/s, total discharge is 456m3/s.
In the Southeast region, Tri An Lake has a water level of 53.96m, 62m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake reached 750m3/s, total discharge 526m3/s. Thac Mo Lake has a water level of 205.11m, inflow 189.43m3/s.
