According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 1:00 PM on April 21, in the Northern region, reservoirs on the Da River system continued to generate electricity to regulate flow. Hoa Binh Lake has an upstream water level of 111.08m, water inflow to the lake is 551 m3/s, total discharge through power generation is 1,089 m3/s.
Son La Lake reached a water level of 207.93m, a flow rate of 92 m3/s and discharged 135 m3/s. Tuyen Quang Lake recorded a water level of 111.73m, discharged 126.81 m3/s through the plant.
Meanwhile, many reservoirs such as Lai Chau, Ban Chat, and Huoi Quang have low water inflow and have not been discharged.
In the North Central region, the flow to lakes fluctuates low.
Trung Son Lake has a flow rate of 86 m3/s and discharge; Khe Bo Lake recorded a flow rate of 328.1 m3/s, discharging 209.1 m3/s for power generation.
Ban Ve Lake and Quang Tri Lake have low water flow and have not been discharged.
The South Central Coast region continues to record limited water inflow to the reservoir. Some reservoirs such as A Vuong and Song Bung 4 generate electricity with discharge flows of 31.3 m3/s and 49 m3/s respectively. Song Tranh 2 and Ba Ha reservoirs have not yet discharged.
Song Hinh reservoir maintains power generation at 17.12 m3/s even though the water flow is low.
In the Central Highlands, many power generation reservoirs have discharge flows equivalent to or higher than inflow flows. Reservoirs on the Se San system maintain stable operation. An Khe Lake discharges overflow at 8 m3/s through 1 surface discharge gate.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 58.84m, a flow rate of 130 m3/s and has not been discharged.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on April 20, the Northern region will have sunshine with reduced clouds; especially the Northwest region will have hot sun in some places.
The area from Nghe An to Hue will be sunny during the day, especially the mountainous areas will be hot, with intense heat in some places.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions are sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places.
